Understanding the misconceptions of carpet cleaning tools.
Misconception # 1
All carpet cleaning companies are the same. I might as well hire the company that quotes the lowest price. Some carpet cleaning companies offer a low price to persuade you to call, but then add on services you thought were included in the price. This is a common bait and switch tactic that some companies use.

Misconception # 2
It makes no difference which method of cleaning you choose. This is incorrect. There are several methods to choose from: Bonnet, Dry Foam, Dry Compound and Hot Water Extraction (steam cleaning). Only Hot Water Extraction (steam cleaning) can employ a rinse step to leave your carpet as residue free as possible. It is the only method recommended by the carpet manufacturers.

Misconception # 3
All a company needs to clean carpets correctly is the right equipment. This is incorrect. Not every cleaner has the same tools and system or chemicals. Utilizing a company that incorporates a two-step process of a pre-spray for soil treatment along with fiber rinse for extraction. To much water and no fiber rinse added to the water will leave a residue that attracts soil making the carpets look dirty in a short period of time.

Misconception # 4
The longer you wait between carpet cleanings, the better. Soils are like sandpaper. It will damage the carpet fiber overtime. It is also a breeding ground for items that are naked to the human eye. The more often you have your carpets cleaned the longer they will last. Industry standard recommend that you clean your carpets every 6 to 18 months depending on traffic and soil levels.
